Oh no! Davante Adams, the star wide receiver, is sidelined with an oblique injury, according to Rams coach Sean McVay. This news came after Adams exited the game in the fourth quarter, initially reported as a back injury. The team had listed him as questionable to return, but he didn't make it back onto the field.
McVay clarified after the game that it was, in fact, an oblique injury. He mentioned he didn't have an update on the severity, but he believed the six-time Pro Bowler could have returned if the game had been more competitive.
And this is the part most people miss... This isn't the first time McVay has corrected an in-game injury announcement. Last week, wide receiver Puka Nacua was initially reported with a chest injury, which McVay later specified as a rib injury.
Despite the injury, Adams continues to shine. He currently leads the league with nine touchdown receptions, adding another one in the Rams' impressive 42-26 victory over the 49ers.
But here's where it gets controversial... Could these in-game corrections be a strategic move to keep opponents guessing? Or are they simply honest clarifications? What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments!
