How to Make Pigs In A Blanket

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees, then unroll crescent dough and separate dough into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle of dough into 3 equal skinny triangles, creating a total of 24 small triangles
  • Place one co*cktail sausage on the wide base of one skinny triangle. Roll the sausage toward the pointed end of the triangle
  • Place the rolled sausage on a parchment-lined baking sheet, point-side down.
  • Whisk together the egg and water in a small bowl. Brush the egg wash over the dough and sprinkle with the poppy seeds and just a pinch of garlic powder
  • Bake until the dough is puffed and golden brown. Remove from oven, then get the party started!

  • 1 (8 ounce package) Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
  • 1 (14 ounce package) Little Smokies – co*cktail sized sausages
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy Seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

  • Working quickly, unroll the crescent dough sheet on a lightly floured surface and separate the perforated dough into 8 triangles. Cut each dough triangle into three equal skinny pieces, creating a total of 24 thin triangles of crescent dough.

  • Place one co*cktail sausage on the wide base of one thin triangle. Roll the sausage toward the pointed end of the triangle, allowing the dough to overlap and wrap around the sausage. Place the rolled sausage on prepared baking sheet, point-side down. Repeat with the remaining dough triangles and sausages.

  • Whisk together your egg, 1 teaspoon water, and garlic powder in a small bowl until smooth. Brush the egg wash over the dough and sprinkle with the poppy seeds.

  • Bake at 375° until the dough is puffed and golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and transfer to a cooling rack. Serve warm with spicy mayo or homemade ranch and enjoy!
